About our staff
Meet The Team
Lincoln Brown Managing Director
Lincoln is Managing Director of Larkbridge and is also a mortgage and protection adviser with many years of industry experience. He has his own bank of clients that have been with him for a lot of years, as well as him being involved in representing Larkbridge at industry events and other professional bodies and local events.
When not at work (and he would say that is not often enough!) Lincoln enjoys rugby, DIY and spending time with his family.
Sarah Lock Training & Compliance Manager
Sarah was formerly a financial adviser and director of the company but has recently stepped back from this role to focus on supporting the younger members of the team and their development, as well as overseeing compliance. Her dogs Jack and Elsie are also frequent visitors to the office and are very much part of the team!
Outside of work, Sarah is involved in helping with a charity in Kenya, as well as being a keen gardener and member of her local church and community.
Matthew Houghton Mortgage Adviser
Matt is another staff member who has been at Larkbridge since the beginning of the company, and works alongside Andrew in the New Build Team. Over the years working alongside Andrew, he has also qualified as a mortgage adviser and now helps to ensure that as the initial deals come to an end, clients are contacted to ensure they remain on the best deal.
Matt lives just outside Bury with his partner and Rottweiler puppy and is busy renovating their home.
Andrew Lock Mortgage Adviser
Andrew has been with Larkbridge since 2013 having worked in financial services since 1983 in many different roles. He runs a team that deals primarily – but certainly not exclusively – with new build mortgages. He is very experienced in helping clients buy the home of their dreams, be they Managing Directors of multi-national firms or a first-time buyer getting onto the housing market using Help to Buy.
When not at work Andrew enjoys travelling and cars.
Peter Green Mortgage Adviser
A very experienced adviser, Peter has been arranging mortgages since 1991 and has been with Larkbridge Mortgages since the beginning in 2013. He has helped 000’s of people since then, whether it be a first purchase, moving home, re-mortgaging to a new lender, or Buy-to-Let. Peter is also a member of The Equity Release Council and looks after all our Equity Release enquiries. He prides himself on doing the best he can for his clients, with many people using his services on several occasions over a period of many years.
He is a keen football fan and enjoys spending time coaching local teams and following Manchester City with his young son.
Chris Day Mortgage Adviser
Chris joined Larkbridge in 2016 as a Mortgage Adviser. He has a good knowledge of the market whether BTL or residential and is building a client bank based on this and his ability to communicate with his clients throughout the mortgage process and to manage their expectations well.
He spends as much time as he can out in the fresh air with his wife, daughter and dog and when that isn’t possible, he watches films or plays pool (to a very high standard).
Sam Bent-Marshall Mortgage Adviser
Sam was an experienced adviser in many areas of financial services for almost 20 years before deciding to specialise only in the Mortgage & Protection market since 2012. He has been with Larkbridge Mortgages since inception in 2013, helping numerous First Time Buyers get onto the property ladder as well as assisting many growing families with their mortgage requirements as they move into larger properties.
He can arrange appointments for daytime, evenings or Saturdays if required and currently works from our office in the town centre.
Sam lives with his family in Bury St Edmunds and is known by many people for his willingness to always help and support them in arranging their mortgages, becoming a family friend to many.
Becky Tully Protection Adviser
Becky works as an adviser in our protection team. Her role is to help individuals and business owners to understand their financial risks, then recommend and set up appropriate schemes in line with their budget and wishes. Often her personal clients haven’t considered how they or their families would cope financially if they were unable to work due to accident or illness, diagnosis of a critical illness, or they were to die so she works alongside them to consider the impact of these things, and to put insurance in place to cover the implications of them. The same applies to business owners, who often have not considered the financial risks to their business.
Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, keeping fit (to burn off the excess cooking!) and spending time with her family.
Laurence Evershed Mortgage & Protection Adviser
Laurence joined us in 2014 completing an apprenticeship in Customer Service as his initial introduction to the role. He has worked in a number of roles since, gaining a wealth of knowledge, experience and qualifications along the way. He is now one of our Mortgage & Protection Advisers focused on helping clients with their Mortgage, Insurance and Protection needs. Whether they need advice on buying their first home, remortgaging, investing in property or insuring their home, family and financial situation he strives to find solutions that are tailored to each individual situation and needs. Outside of work he is a keen carp fisherman and general outdoors enthusiast, spending most of his spare time in the Suffolk countryside.
Ben Bull Mortgage Adviser
Ben joined Larkbridge in 2019 having had previous experience in both a mortgage brokers and a financial adviser firm – gaining qualifications in mortgage advice, protection and equity release in this time.
Having initially joined as part of our administration team, he is now one of our office-based mortgage advisers assisting clients with a range of mortgage requirements on both a residential and buy-to-let basis.
In his spare time, Ben enjoys playing for and coaching his local football team in Stowupland, travelling with his girlfriend and adding to his record collection.
Jacob Manning Trainee Mortgage Adviser
Jacob joined the team in the spring of 2016, initially completing an Apprenticeship in Customer Service alongside his work in the administration team.
He supports our team of mortgage advisers in the processing of all mortgage applications and is currently studying for his CII Certificate in Mortgage Advice, with the aim of progressing into an advisory role himself in the next couple of years.
When out of the office, Jacob follows a wide range of sports and enjoys travelling, socialising with friends, and tending to the family allotment.
Dawn Carrington Protection Administrator
Dawn joined Larkbridge recently with a strong background of Customer Service in order to support the Protection Team. She is involved in processing applications, following them up with providers and medical underwriters and ensuring that customers are aware of how their application is progressing.
She is very keen on walking and living a healthy and sustainable lifestyle for both her and the environment.
Karen Spurway Office Manager
Karen has worked for Larkbridge since its inception in 2013.
She is Office Manager and an experienced mortgage administrator supporting all Larkbridges mortgage advisers in the processing of applications. She was previously a mortgage adviser, qualified to CeMAP level.
In her spare time, she enjoys travelling & socialising with family & friends. Karen loves watching rugby & is a season ticket holder at Northampton Saints Rugby Club.
Ethan Rudling Mortgage Administrator
Ethan joined Larkbridge in 2021 as part of our apprenticeship scheme. He is carrying out a course in Business Administration alongside his role in our mortgage admin team and is eager to pursue a career in financial services.
Outside the office, Ethan has a keen interest in cars and plays rugby for Thurston.
